Hi there, Had a very nice ride in perfect weather .Unfortunately some guys were late and missed out on a nice group ride.We had a good ride through the countryside and visited both caves from the outside.Skip then took us to a place on the crocodile river at Magaliesburg where we had VERY nice breakfasts. a Lot of people i suppose could`nt make it because of the time of the year but we managed to get 6 Maxes together for the ride and it was a nice solo ride back to Vanderbyl via Krugersdorp. I wish you all the best for the festive season and tanks for your friendship.Next year early we must ride again. Kind Regards, Nico Venter.

Soos jy sê, nou het ek ook die dam gesien. Ons het toe voort gery van die kasteel af, deur Oranjeville verby Jim Fouche, Villiers, Heidelberg terug Oos Rand toe. Die pad was 'n bietjie sleg tot op Oranjaville, maar ons het dit maar kalm gevat. Ek wil ook net van die geleentheid gebruik maak en almal bedank vir hulle vriendskap, goeie wense en ondersteuning. Julle is in 'n ander klas, geen wonder julle ry almal Vmaxe nie!!! Op die uiteinde het ek toe maar besluit om my Max te verkoop. Die invoer standaarde in Aus is net te streng, veral as 'n ou after-market pype ens op het. Ek sal swaar afskeid neem. Kan nie in die oggende wag sodat ek daardie pype kan hoor nie! Die Vmax familie lyk nie baie groot nie, alhoewel daar 'n paar is. Ek sal julle op hoogte hou van dinge daardie kant. Ons het dinge so 'n bietjie vertraag en vlieg 11 Februarie uit Newcastle toe. It is with shock and dismay that I have to inform you of the passing away of Nico Venter last night, 28 April 2009.

The Vmax Owners Group of South Africa expresses our most sincere condolences to Nico's wife Dawn and his family.

On behalf of our Members and all our enthusiasts, I wish to say that a real Vmaxer and great proponent of our beloved Vmaxes has been lost to us all.

Nico was a founder member of our Group and, many years before the formation of our Group, informally organised rides with other Vmaxers on the Witwatersrand.

He participated in all our Rallies and was looking forward to join us at this years 4th SA Vmax Odyssey gathering.

Nico has touched the lives of us all in some small way or another and his memory will live wish us in perpetuity.
